Bernie Sanders Announces Bid to Make America Indigenous Again

Feb 19, 2019

Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont announced his bid to become President of the USA for the 2020 election.  In the following personal statement, he announced his goals to Make America Indigenous Again:

Brothers and Sisters--

I am writing to let you know I have decided to run for president of the United States of America.

And by the United States, I mean the United Tribes.  And by America, I mean the Native American concept of Turtle Island.  I want to Make The United Tribes of Turtle Island Indigenous Again.

Our inner campaign is not about defeating Donald Trump, who wishes to turn Turtle Island into a literal island by building prison walls around us and seeding division.

Our campaign is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of what makes America Great: Its indigenous roots sown through a spiritual connection with the teachings of nature.

Make no mistake about it. The special interests in this country have unbelievable power and they want to maintain the status quo. The only way we will save the planet is to listen to the indigenous wisdom that came before the settlers, before the conquistadors.

Every speck of dirt on our planet has its indigenous caretakers.  It is our job to connect with these original shepherds to learn what has been lost, and to see our seeds sprout as a garden, not as out-of-control wild weeds.

I use the phrase "our campaign" a lot.  And even if I never say these words directly, is this not the true mission of our campaign?

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin.
