Trump Nominates Coat Hanger to Supreme Court

Jul 10, 2018

President Trump announced his selection of a coat hanger to be his second Supreme Court justice Monday night.

From the East Room of the White House, the president said that this “is not about the coat hanger’s political views, but whether it can set aside its views to do its job under the new Constitution I am going to re-write.”

“And I am pleased to say that I have found, without a doubt, such an object.  There is no one in America more qualified for this position.  Well, other than a medical doctor."

“This coat hanger was made in China,” the president continued. “It’s of great quality.  It's a throwback to the great quality we had in the 1950s."

The coat hanger thanked the president for the nomination, and in anticipation of its upcoming meetings with Capitol Hill, said, "If confirmed by the Senate, I will be sure to do my job to the best of my abilities.  You can trust I will always be here for you, even if others way more qualified than me are no longer able to perform."
