The Amazing Journey of Giles the Blind Pilot

Dec 14, 2017

One of the best things about flying is the feeling I get when going up and down.

I used to work as an elevator operator for many years. And it was good, but over time I got bored.  It just wasn't the same.

I realized that it's not just about going up and down.  I need the danger behind the feeling of going up and down.  The danger sharpens the experience.

Imagine you are on a runway.  The rain is pattering down.  A storm rumbles above.

Suddenly comes impulse.  Momentum.  The plane moves.  Will I run off the runway?  Will I get enough speed in time?

But yes!

I am flying!

Into the clouds where one the sound of thunder holds my hand.
