10+ Times The Bible Said “Would” Instead Of “Wouldn’t” and Other Reversals

Jul 19, 2018

In a recent Helsinki press conference, President Trump sided with Putin over United States intelligence.  When many news outlets pointed out that this is actually treason, Trump quickly reversed his message and said that he actually meant the opposite of what he said.  That when he said “would” he meant to say “wouldn’t.”

This has met outrage and laughs in the media, who've called it insanity and the words of a serial liar.  But we here at The Tilted Glass did some research and it turns out the mistake is very common.  In fact, The Bible has made this mistake many times.

Here now are 10+ times the Bible has used would instead of wouldn’t, do instead of don’t, and other such double negatives.

We’ve corrected the original texts in bold below.
